Full Job Description
We are seeking a creative developer with a strong background in UX Design with a passion for web design, digital marketing, email marketing, and social media content. You will be responsible for creating interactive programs that will enhance the customers’ experience with our websites. You have experience working cross-functionally with various teams. You can iterate on designs with the ability to explain the decisions made via your knowledge and research. The goal of this role is to inspire and wow our client base with creative UX design.
Effectively evaluate and manage time, resources, and deadlines to produce desired products both individually and as part of a team. Collaborate with the Marketing team to create graphics that most effectively convey the intended message.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, edit and build websites using the WordPress Platform.
- Oversee and own the entirety of multiple websites, from branding to function
- Understanding of the foundations for a good UX/UI for site design
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Determining the structure and design of web pages.
- Conducting usability testing
- Creating product prototypes, build navigation buttons, search fields, etc.
- Ability to create design within a landing page, including html code and other languages as needed
- Analyzing user feedback and activity and iterating to enhance user experience
- Strong understanding of current web development best practices from desktop to mobile to ensure a good user experiencing as well as outstanding performance for SEO.
- Strong understanding and execution of efficiency for web development.
- Keep up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
Experience and Required Skills
- Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Expert knowledge of WordPress, Elementor, and WPML.
- A strong portfolio of websites, social media graphics and professional pdfs
- Expert knowledge of related graphic design applications such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Sketch, etc).HTML, CSS, Javascript, Microsoft Suite, Google File management
- Expert proficiency with html and coding necessary for website and landing page creation
- Knowledge of wireframe tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Deadline oriented
- Strong attention to detail
Education and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience as a Front-End WordPress or Java Developer. Proficiency in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Elementor.
- 3-6 years of proven UX designing experience.
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts, Development, or related field is a plus
Additional Information
- To be considered, you must submit a portfolio (a link) to be considered for this role.
- Hours for this position will be 9am to 5pm M-F EST
- Approximately 80% of this role will be supporting the website, app and landing pages.
- Around 20% will be supporting/creating graphics for social media, email, print or event graphics.
