Meet Our Providers
Dr. William Conner, MD
Dr. Will Conner is the Chief Medical Officer at StarMed Family Healthcare. He has been a practicing physician in the Charlotte area for over 20 years. Dr. Conner focuses on learning about his patient’s psycho-social composition prior to examining the patient. He tries to enlist the patient in self-care so that a team effort can be established. Dr. Conner feels there is no such thing as a good doctor, only good patients.
Dr. Conner is a 1996 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at MAHEC in Asheville, NC. He then accepted a National Health Service Corps assignment in eastern North Carolina working with spanish-speaking migrant farmworkers for 2 years. He has volunteered his time and service in the U.S. Peace Corps in both Schweitzer hospitals in Gabon, Africa and Haiti, and also in hospitals in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. He worked at multiple hospitals throughout Haiti prior to and also shortly after the earthquake of 2010 and continues to maintain his connections in Haiti. Dr. Conner speaks French, Spanish and English.
Will enjoys teaching students, traveling, biking, writing and spending time with his family and children and dogs Buddy and Flounder.
Alicia Allman, PA-C

Alicia earned her Master of Science Degree with honors from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2013. Her journey into patient care started at a young age when she became acutely aware of the health challenges that face the Latin community. Alicia was born in Charlotte and raised in a Honduran household where she was taught how to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish fluently. As a child, she quickly identified the need to bridge the communication gap between Spanish speakers and their healthcare needs. Alicia’s desire to assist the Hispanic community, along with her unique skill set, makes her the perfect provider to serve the medical needs of every Hispanic patient that walks through our doors.
