Dr. Arin Piramzadian is a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and is also the Chief Medical Officer at StarMed Primary and Urgent Care. He graduated from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine New York City in 2010 and has been in practice for over 9 years. During his time at Onslow Memorial Emergency Department, he was the leader of the Sepsis and Stroke Protocol teams and patient satisfaction. He also sat on the Blood and Tissue Committee, overseeing and reviewing proper use of the limited blood supply in a community-based hospital, all while working to educate nursing and support staff.
Dr. Piramzadian is the former CMO at MedFirst Primary and Urgent Care where he provided leadership and oversight for over 25 offices. During his tenure, he led nearly 160 providers assuring compliance with up to date medical and company guidelines, prompt and accurate charting and coding and monitoring quality of care provided, holding providers to a high standard by auditing and reviewing charts and giving constructive feedback on a regular basis.
Alicia earned her Master of Science Degree with honors from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2013. Her journey into patient care started at a young age when she became acutely aware of the health challenges that face the Latin community. Alicia was born in Charlotte and raised in a Honduran household where she was taught how to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish fluently. As a child, she quickly identified the need to bridge the communication gap between Spanish speakers and their healthcare needs. Alicia’s desire to assist the Hispanic community, along with her unique skill set, makes her the perfect provider to serve the medical needs of every Hispanic patient that walks through our doors.
Danielle is a Charlotte, N.C. native who began her medical career as a medical lab tech for nine years in the United States Air Force Reserve. She enjoys caring for patients in all stages of their lives and being a lifelong learner of medicine.
Danielle’s graduate training includes an MMS in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She has undergraduate degrees from UNC Charlotte (Biology) and Community College of the Air Force (Clinical Laboratory Technology).
Shiniqua’s journey began in New Jersey before she embarked on a path that led her to Virginia, and eventually, in 2016, to North Carolina. Her diverse experiences have taken her through the realms of child welfare, medical services, child advocacy centers, and mental health. Within these arenas, Shiniqua has cultivated a deep-seated passion for social work, a commitment to breaking generational cycles, and a resolute dedication to ensuring accessible behavioral health services for all. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Union University and a Master’s degree from Norfolk State University.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Shiniqua finds solace and joy in various aspects of life. Cherishing moments with family and taking time to travel and unwind by the beach hold significant places in her heart. Her adventurous palate leads her to explore new dining experiences and engage in diverse activities. In addition, her curiosity for history fuels visits to historical sites. Through it all, Shiniqua remains unwavering in her pursuit of social well-being and advocating for better mental health resources for everyone.
Hailing from Graham, NC, Kennedy has recently found her new home in the vibrant city of Charlotte. Quickly developing an appreciation for the area, she is driven by a strong desire to assist those who have faced challenges. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Kennedy’s dedication to her craft is evident. Her educational journey encompassed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Western Carolina University and a Master’s degree from UNC Chapel Hill, with a specialized focus on mental health and substance abuse. Her expertise spans a range of therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-Based, Solution Focused, and Person-Centered modalities.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kennedy’s adventurous spirit takes her across borders, allowing her to immerse herself in different cultures. Despite her busy schedule, she treasures moments spent with family and friends. Additionally, Kennedy is enthusiastic about exploring all that Charlotte has to offer. In this vibrant city, she continues to channel her passion into helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with resilience and empowerment.
