Early Detection is Still the Key. Don’t Delay Cancer Screenings!

Are you up to date on cancer screenings?

One-third of adults in the U.S. are still behind on routine medical care due to the pandemic.

You might be thinking, “People are behind on physicals and cholesterol checks. So what?”

Annual wellness checks are an important opportunity for patients to get a pulse check (no pun intended) on their overall health, address any ongoing health concerns, and crucially, get screened for cancer.

Cancer remains the second biggest cause of death in the U.S.

And 1 in 6 people will develop some type of cancer in their lifetime. While cancer may not be preventable, regular screening exams can improve the chances of detecting it early when it is most treatable.

Just ask our very own communications manager, Cliff Mehrtens.

A 5-year survivor of Stage 4 colon cancer, Cliff overcame the odds that were gravely stacked against him. And he continues to share his story in hopes of urging others to prioritize their own health.

“I have learned the importance of taking care of yourself and if something’s not right, go to a doctor. It’s easy to ignore a symptom.” – Cliff
