Luz Estramonte, the Director of Clinical Training, will train all incoming medical personnel using a program she helped create. She has been a registered nurse for more than 20 years and served as a charge nurse in a variety of settings. Luz has worked mainly in ICU (intensive care units) and step-down units.
She also has been assigned as a nurse preceptor on the telemetry and step-down units where she worked. Luz is certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. She was able to gain experience in medical surge and nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. She attended Miami Dade College and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
