COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Charlotte, North Carolina 

Starting at $60,000/year with the opportunity for incentive pay based on a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Full Job Description

The Compliance Officer oversees Starmount Healthcare Compliance Program and function as an independent party that reviews and evaluates compliance issues and concerns. The Compliance Officer acts as the Risk manager and communicates directly with Practice Managers and regulatory entities.

Responsibilities

  • Researches regulations by reviewing State and Federal implementations
  • Researches regulations and providing updates for the Federal Exchange and communicates changes
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing organization standards based on clients polices
  • Maintains professional relationship and knowledge of regulations
  • Monitors and coordinates compliance activities to ensure timely implementation
  • Investigate and resolve compliance related issues and/or problems and complaints
  • Assist with impact analysis in response to identified issues
  • Provide corrective action plans and report to proper agencies
  • Maintains an effective communication program within the organization
  • Make decisions and communicate within organization

Customer Service

  • Responsible for driving the Starmed culture through values and patient service standards.
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal contacts.
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships through effective and timely communication.
  • Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
  • Serve as a resource to peers, staff, and others with the ability to train as needed

Experience and Required Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of Risk Management experience
  • Building solid network relationships
  • Able to interpret regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a healthcare organization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Travel when needed
  • Willingness to maintain a safe and secure work environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in the regulatory compliance field
